Of course he wouldn't.  I doubt any of the fans would either, even though FAU doesn't deserve to go before ASU.  For what it's worth, all fandoms are the same way.  That's part of the problem.  Everyone thinks they deserve to get something even if they haven't earned it.  Rewarding a team for failing while excluding those who have succeeded certainly doesn't inspire anything good.

I suppose thats better than sitting home, but it depends on how embarrassing we are talking about.

It wouldn't be FAU's call. If they get an invite, they'll take it. Blame the system, not FAU.

I understand the thinking of "ASU beat us, so they deserve a spot ahead of us", but you have to look at the whole picture.  If the SBC gets to send 3 teams, and FAU, ASU, and ULL are all 6-6, what 2 would "deserve" to go more?  ASU beat FAU, ULL beat ASU, and FAU beat ULL.  So deciding based on head-to-head matchups would be very difficult.

But this is all very speculative.  By losing to ASU(and/or not knocking down a hail mary pass against MTSU) this stuff is all out of our hands.  The only thing we can do is focus on what we can control and that is beating FIU on Saturday.  Do that, and the rest will sort itself out.

We have not preformed well on TV games this year  :P

Too bad to, with all the pre-season hype it would have been nice to show folks around the national that the hype wasn't all hot air.

The players will have a chance to make up for it in their last game.

I agree with Bytor,  TV has not been kind to us this year, and we have successfully shown the country that we were a fluke last year.  Myself and everyone on this board knows that we improved at the end of the season, but the national audience has only seen us flounder against Troy and MTSU.  If you had that perspective, you would not want us in a bowl game.    With that said, of course I would love to see us play one more TV game and WIN, but if we were to lose badly it would be pretty tough to take.  The main thing right now is to concentrate on our "garunteed" bowl game on Sat., GO OWLS!
