The biggest game in Tennessee
Don't kid yourselves. Wherever Howard Schnellenberger is, that's the place to be. Just ask him. This week it's Murfreesboro, Tenn., where Schnellie's boys try to go 3-0 by beating Middle Tennessee.

The Owls are racing toward respectability at the speed of light. The Blue Raiders were Florida Atlantic's first I-A victim a year ago. The Owls join the Sun Belt next season but have already defeated its three-time champ, North Texas.

"We just knocked off the conference champions, who haven't been beaten in three years," quarterback Jared Allen told the Miami Herald. "Middle Tennessee knows there's no overlooking anybody, especially with what happened last year. Combine all those together and nobody's really going to overlook us anymore."
