I do wish board shorts and bikinis would be a tradition the students would start here for games instead of trying to look like we're in the south…Football in Paradise, not on the plantation.
Post of the Day.
Sounds like the FAU Bookstore/SGA needs to get on some decent FAU Hawaiian shirts. Take that over the Beat shirts any day.

The SBC is just a lower tier of the SEC. Same culture, just smaller. Ask all the other schools in the SBC and they'll say the same, it's just because we're in South Florida (which in my book is the North) that it's not the same like it is every place else. That being said, I'm not from South Florida, so I see college football a little bit differently.

Dressing like they do in the SEC is more of a thing us greeks do than any of the other students. You guys can wear your beach attire but I enjoy the atmosphere and dress of the SEC much more.HootinHollerin said

And that's why some organizations stopped tailgating at the Rat's Mouth. Why tailgate where we will be babysat and annoyed, when we could just go to a different tailgate spot on campus or at the fraternity's off campus house. Especially with how the team played last year, many of us are just looking to get hammered so the game would be at least somewhat enjoyable.

FAU Student Tailgate Area Moved for Football Season - Florida Atlantic Owls Official Athletic Site
I hope that the Owl Walk gets moved to along West University, passing the Burrow to North University passing the Alumni Center and the new Rat's Mouth. Anybody know how us students will be able to pack our stuff up after the tailgate? North University will be closed so we can't pack everything up into our cars, and I'll guess that FAU won't allow us to tailgate after the game.
