I hate PTI!  Two obnoxious pricks pretending to know something about sports.  No disrespect intended, if you like them :(

I'm thinking of the ads run on tv and radio.

Our section (105) was a little lame on the cheers and chants for most of the game but some people in the section over (104) helped rile people up lol some the old people in our section didn't quite have the voice or know what to say lol (no disrespect) Anyway… an official chant sanction by FAU as official would be cool… a part from that we do the original "Let's go Owls" and "D-Fence" it's hard to get everyone around you involved but they soon warm up.

i thought it was cool when the band would play the music and then play it a little fater and we would yell go fau also the owl fingers are starting to catch on i thiugh they were kinda korny at first but if lots of people are doing it its kinda kool

Please excuse my ignoarance, but I live in SATX, so I have no idea what chants and cheers happen at the game.

I think I know what you are referring to, thats the run-on cadence that we play. Its called "run on" because thats what we play when  the band runs on the field for pre-game. And we say "EEEEFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU FAU FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT". I like that one. Also we play "Let's Go Owls" three times in every pregame, and we start out slow and get faster  everytime. Plus, this year we added a new thing with the cheer leaders, where there drums play a little beat and then everyone goes "O", then again and go "W"…etc


Not to open up a can of worms, but I saw the guy start the chant that shall remain nameless and surprisingly, alot of people joined in with. Oh, and I heard the live band start singing that song,lol.

Yeah… I thought that was very cool too! I ended up banging the empty seat in front of me to the beat of the band… although I never figured out if it was supposed to be a distraction or motivation because the band did it for both teams when they kicked off… what do you think? Should it be done as a distraction for the visiting kicker or a motivation for our kicker? I don't think we should do it for both…

Band did a good job on Sat......Crowd should be more lively for ESPN in a few weeks

OOOOHHHH, that's what he meant. I thought he meant "Let's Go Owls" in pregame and in the stands. Ya, we play it on every kickoff, its called "kickoff" lol. We do it every time, bu we only do the downbeat and cymbal crash when the other team recieves. I like doing it for us as well because it gets us hyped up.
