In many other threads, we've talked about tradition, etc. Owl Fingers were seven years in the making. In 2002, Anissa Costello (old DT coach) helped to come up with the idea of Owl Fingers. Back then, I remember it was only the three "prOWLers" (nothing like today's group) on the field of Pro Player, Anissa and I doing them.
That just goes to show that it takes many many years to start some things. I'm glad it finally caught on. I have always liked it - especially because it spells "Owl" as well. The thumb to pointer finger is the "o", the other three fingers are the "w" and the outside of the pinkie and going downwards is the "L"
