Easy there Illinois. From everything I've seen, Muse is No.4 on the depth chart. Granted he'll be a nice addition, but FAU still will have their hands full with Clemson, even if the Tigers played without a tight end on the field.

But I do hope everyone took the 34 points.

I WASN'T saying FAU will win. I am sticking up for the Owls that they're not going to be the complete pushover that Clemson thinks. The way I see it, if FAU gives them a good challenge, look for a slip down the polls slightly. Everyone, fans, sports writers, etc are expecting a blow out. I don't think it will be that. The defense has a good chance to keep Clemson from running up the score.

I don't think Clemson will have much trouble this first game, though the score may not be the 30+ spread if we play conservative to make sure BC and FSU don't get any sneak peeks of what Clemson's full on assault looks like.
Also, according to collegefootballnews.com the two teams rank nationally like so..

Clemson Florida Atlantic
Offense 11th 118th
Deffense 14th 116th
Special Teams 83rd 119th
Preseason rank 12th 118th

Please don't ask about special teams…….

As others have said, the staff won't start to discuss the gameplan for FAU until tomorrow. Muse has also been absent from practices recently, so he won't be able to help much there.

I don't see this game being very close, but to those who come to Clemson, make yourselves at home and enjoy our gameday atmosphere. I Hope you guys have a very productive season, just not in the first week. ;-)

Muse will have to sit out a year so he is not going to help you this year.

We will not go down in the polls. The score will not be run up by our first string players. They will probably play first half and first series in 2nd half. Just my guess, though. I am hoping we demolish your team, just like I wish we do that to all the teams we play. No disrespect intended, I just want us to win and I'm sure they are not taking any team lightly because that is how you lose!

I hope you enjoy Clemson. It is a great football tailgating place.

Thanks for the input Tiger fans…I have to agree that there are some obvious discrepancies between the two teams but as they say that's why we play the games.

I like the thought process of you not showing to much in order to save it for FSU and BC and I also agree that the starters won't play much past the half if all goes as planned for you so that's why I believe a play with the points is the way to go.

Wish I could make it up there for the game..heard it's a tough place to play… from a UM friend.

GO OWLS!

I surely hope that the game doesn't ugly for us early, it will make for a very tough time to wacth from the stands. I will hope that we can settle in on offense where we can handle the ball a bit - having no three and outs would ne nice.

Dusky– You need to make a trip. It is a ton of fun. You may get a few words thrown at you, but no bottles, bricks or fists like some other places.

I hope everyone enjoys it. Texas A&M fans said it was the best place to visit for a football game because the fans were so nice to them.

You guys play anyone, anywhere. That's great. A great way to build a program just like your in state counterparts FSU did. Good luck building your program. I think you guys are going in the right direction and have a good coach.
