Owls in relaxed state of mind
Oct. 13, 2004
BOCA RATON, FL - Already having played four consecutive games on the road and facing a fifth this Saturday, Florida Atlantic University's football team had a shortened practice session on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls (4-0) worked on special teams and continued its preparations against Northern Colorado scout teams.
FAU worked on trench and wide receiver/defensive back drills before breaking into 11-on-11 situational drills. Jared Allen went three for three during two minute drills while Danny Embick completed three of four passes. The team concluded practice with unusual wide receiver/defensive back drills. Quincy Skinner lined up against Willie Hughley with Hughley leaping over Skinner for the interception. The defense went wild when Anthony Crissinger-Hill attempted to cover Roosevelt Bynes while both offense and defense erupted when kicker Mark Myers grabbed a touchdown pass against Derek Zak.
Florida Atlantic returns to practice on Thursday at 2:30 pm. Practice is free and open to the public.
