Just so you know, this is all in good fun.  I realize we're not long-time rivals and don't have a history of wailing away on each other, so I felt compelled to give you a head's up before anyone gets sand in their vagina.  Capice?

As to your questions, we were passed over for Big East inclusion due to geography.  Our football program could have been top 10, with BCS bowls every season, and I'm convinced we still would have been shunned due to being stuck in West Tennessee.  USF athletics was a complete joke when they were selected, and still would be if they didn't have access to those big, fat BCS checks.

I don't think Troy would have beaten us, if we had faced them instead of you guys.  They've had a tremendous season in a weak-ass league, but let's be honest… their roster is filled with 3 and 2 star players, no better than ours.  Every time they've faced a half-way decent opponent, they've been raped.  Our receiver corps is vastly superior to theirs, as is our QB and, arguably, our offensive line.  If both teams played to the best of their abilities, we'd probably win by 2 TDs.

Also, we've played in 4 bowl games in our history, winning three.  We creamed your Sun-Belt champion back in 2003, and that North Texas team would have smoked either Troy or FAU this year.  That was a team worthy of our attention.  I'm still a bit disgusted that we're playing another cream puff in New Orleans in a game that no one will watch.

we're not exactly a powerhouse, but we have played with a lot of heart this year to end up at 7-5 after starting out 2-4.  I am looking forward to a good game with you guys.

not even sure if this guy is a Memphis fan.  Haven't seen anyone post by that name on our board.  Possible I guess.  Anyway, if he comes into your house being that disrespectful, you should let him have it.  it is hard to defend.

Just one question for all the Memphis Tigers out there. What is the story you are trying to tell ? Did you not lose to Ole Miss the first game of the season. Yes is that answer, and Ole Miss only won 3 games all year and was winless in the SEC. So I do not think that you would be in the Big East let alone the top 10 BCS anything, maybe just the top 10 BS ! WE look forward to your tutelage oh great one !
