Congratulations to Graham Wilbert!!!

Looks like everyone gets a trophy after tonight.  Isn't UAB's defense dead last in the NCAA?

Re: Congratulations to Graham Wilbert!!!

If Wilbert plays like this against La, Monroe, we can beat them- especially with Morris' rush support.  Wilbert was very effective rolling out to spot his receivers.

Thank god they didnt put curtis in. he hasnt done anything and has less knowledge of the offense than all of the qbs, him not playing was the difference in winning and losing

I don't support that conclusion at all. Curtis is a dual threat QB and probably could have picked us up some yards on the ground as well. He just wasn't needed; the fact is that Graham Wilbert was just having a good day against a really bad defense.

Re: Congratulations to Graham Wilbert!!!

Its amazing how well a QB can play when the runningback is amazing (which Alfred was)…

i.e.

Scott Mitchell circa 1996….

10-6-0 346 583 59.3 4338 32

It takes a special talent for Scott Mitchell to pass for over 4,000 yards and 32 TD's.

Re: Congratulations to Graham Wilbert!!!

ULM D (#1 vs. run in Belt) is MUCH better than UAB's so the same game plan WILL NOT WORK! If we try the same approach will be doin 3 and outs constantly like earlier in the year. THEY WILL load the box to take away the run so Mr. Wilbert and OC,  you need to show some qb and coaching chops this week, Alfred cannot carry us the same way. If we get so overconfident in running (as I am afraid we will) we will get stuffed!
