My regards to all. I can't agree with you more about how the vast majority of fans/posters in anygivensaturday message board were so "unfriendly" with our aspirations of becoming I-A. I also had learned about I-AA, its teams, fans, etc., but also became quite disappointed at their reactions, first against FAU, and then against FIU.

Unfortunately for some of those schools, they don't have the critical mass (students), infrastructure, growth pattern, and ambitions that our institutions have, and, for some reason, they use that against us.

Anyways, I truly enjoyed our two-year stint in I-AA, wouldn't have minded staying there a bit longer, but, I love even more the fact of making the move to IA. Good luck to the Owls this season as well, as we hope to emulate what you did last season and improve in this our 3rd year…

On that general subject, it's a shame that Florida's excellent community college system doesn't have football (like California, Kansas and, I think, texas, among others). Think of the opportunities for young men – and the opportunity for other programs to lure late-developing players for junior and senior years.

I've read that somewhere in the Florida Law books are rules AGAINST JUCOs here in this state. This subject always come up on the FloridaVarsity message boards.
We lose so much talent to out of state to JUCOs who never come back after their two years are up.

You guys actually have a very good team. You can only improve. Padrick will only get better in the pocket. This year they will learn how to FINISH games. You lost some tough contests which could have gone either way. As always we have you near the end when you may have jelled.
