Early NFL Draft Predictions

Lester Jean is currently ranked 28th in the nation for receiving yards.

Among the 27 WRs that are ahead of Jean, only 10 are seniors.

If Jean can finish his final year at FAU with over 1,000yrds catching and meet expectations at FAU Pro Day. He will likely be FAU's second player to be drafted into the NFL (early 7th round).

The NFL drafted more than 25 Wideouts in 2010.

I voted no and I hope I am dead wrong. He has improved, and had a very good year as basially our only wide-out!

Re: Early NFL Draft Predictions

I think Housler will be drafted before Jean. But I do hope that Jean gets drafted, that would make 3 in two years.

What has Housler done/shown to warrant him getting drafted? Harmon was twice the TE Housler is and he didn't get drafted

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Shockingly, Housler is 5th in the nation for receiving yards at the TE position.

The NFL drafted 20 TE's in 2010. So he's got a shot.

P.S. Both websites predict that Housler will get drafted in the 3rd or 4th round

Thanks Captain Owlmerica for providing the evidence to the previous poster above.

Agree, Harmon was a better all around player, but Housler has the combine tools scouts love.

It's a shame these seniors missed out on playing game 13 this season to show off a little more to the scouts.

Re: Early NFL Draft Predictions

He's been on the draft radar all year, the guy will put up some alarming numbers at the pro day, he's so freaking fast for a TE it's unreal. He's made big plays at times this year (see: Texas) and those are the games where scouts will notice. There isn't a linebacker in america that can keep up with his speed, and he's a good size too, for an FAU TE anyway.

He kills me with the dropped passes earlier in the year, but in the second half of the season, he's been pretty good.

Re: Early NFL Draft Predictions

Agree, he's been much better in the second half of the season.  Played well against MSU & 2 TD's vs. Texas, heck that looks good in any non BCS D1 player.
