lousiville and UConn will get bowl games. it's stupid to not think so.

its great were doing well in the sunbelt but we need a better conference. I'm guessing the year after our stadium is built we move to USA but maybe the Big East. I'm afraid UCF will get the invite before us. I'm hoping a strong basketball season will help us.

Right. We're not going to get an invite to a better conference until we have Sun Belt titles, bowl championships, the on-campus stadium, and a regular attendance >20k

completely wrong…

USF had never won a sun belt OR c-usa title… still doesn't have an on-campus stadium… and struggled with attendance as well… yet they were invited to the big east

UCF had never won a MAC title… didn't have an on-campus stadium… struggled with attendance… yet they were invited to c-usa

hmmm…. and we need WHAT to move on?

Re: ESPN Article on Non BCS

USF fell into the BE because of some political lobbying by its president, and the need for a big market Florida replacement. It was quite a coups.

Check how USF's other sports do in the BE. At one point last year, basketball had not won a conference game.

oh wait… i am not saying USF is "great" "good" or even "big east worthy"… basketball can't compete in the big east… baseball can't compete in the big east… and until football proves otherwise, i think football is an anomaly this season

what i am saying is "usf and ucf are proof that you don't need to witness success to move up in conference

exactly what you said about market… the big east would LOVE to have USF, UCF and FAU… OWNING the state of florida for the "up and coming programs"… you can't be an "up and coming program" forever

Okay, but didn't the "home stadiums" that UCF and USF use both have larger capacities than Lockhart? That's what I'm saying about the on-campus FAU stadium.  My understanding is that bigger conferences desire/prefer larger facilities.

Not always…

Wake Forest (ACC) Capacity-31,500……… or……Cincinnati (Big East)-35,000

We would fit pretty well with 30,000 to start.

Go Owls!

Exactly. When we have our 30k seater we should be more in the ballpark with these people.
