Alright everyone let's relax.  No need getting worked up over a pretty insignificant game that is still months away.  And Walty have you ever seen "COPS" episodes when they do Palm Beach County?  It gives a bunch of people the stereotype that we are nothing more than humid criminal cesspool.  It made me a little apprehensive before moving here.

little haiti is a haitian community in miami that's had several gangs get nailed for rico with gun/drug running and hostage taking with regards to ships mooring in miami.

Lincoln is roughly 225,000 people..

I understand the stereotype of Nebraska being nothing but cornfields but lincoln is far from a hick town..  Lincoln and Omaha alike are relatively normal when it comes to cities.. I live in Lincoln and the only time I've seen cornfields are when driving on the interstate.  Saying that we are hicks and that people from here agree that we are hicks is a joke.. It's very far from the truth.

Not that I am saying you are a hick, but comparing population has nothing to do with it.  You are also bigger than Beverly Hills by population doesn't mean your more sophisticated.  If you have 225,000 people but 120,000 of them are wearing overalls…?

Actually it does.  People say "so you come from some small hick town" all the time… Therefore population does have a factor in that.  Honestly.  Can you be MORE ignorant with your posts?  120000 people wearing overalls?  Really?  Maybe you should come to the game and actually take time to drive around the city.  You would be in for a shock.  Did you happen to tune into the CWS at all these past 2 weeks?  Funny that a ton of the people at the games are NEBRASKANS, yet no overalls or "hick hats."  No need for you to sit around and be a smart*ss about everything because that's just being even more ignorant.  This thread alone is really starting to give a negative stereotype to FAU fans.. one of ignorance… Of course, being just a dumb hick from Nebraska I wouldn't be able to know what ignorant even means, right?  Maybe you should just come off your high horse and stop acting like there isn't life outside of the coasts.  Also you throw out average income.  Of course, you do no adjustment for cost of living or anything of the such.  Can't wait to see the lippy FAU fans get shut up in September.  That's not directed at the majority because most have been very good about talking about everything and understanding the situations and being very polite but this thread specifically is getting annoying.

They sell chill pills in that hicktown of yours?  I am from Texas, I think you are taking things a little too personal my man.  I dont identify with Boca, but for you to compare Boca Raton, FL to Lincoln, NE is just a joke.  And I wont shut up in September…I am well aware of how good hicks are at football and think we will probably lose that game.  But after the game is over, no matter the score….news for ya…Nebraska is still a hick state.

So what is it now, just comparing Boca to Lincoln or are we calling the entire state of NE a Hick state?  Lincoln was thrown out to show that there are metropolitan areas in NE.  Does it compare to Boca in total income per capita, no but few places do.  There are plenty of people with money in Omaha and Lincoln also, heck Warren Buffet lives in Omaha, but since Boca has a population of 86K and Omaha has a population of 420K+ (850K+ in the metro area) there are a lot more average incomes diluting the per capita stat.  Does the presence of Boca ensure that Florida is not a Hick State also, not in the slightest.  Whether you want to use the definition of an agrarian/country location/person or a dumb person for the terms "HICK" or "HICK STATE," I think I could find as many if not more reasons to lump Florida in those categories.  Ignorance may be bliss, but in your case I think you just prove why Florida is a Hick State.
