that said it's not about your starting 22, it's the rest of the team where nebraska will win it at.  you might be able to keep it close for 3 quarters but i feel that nebraska's depth will just be to much.

That is the difference between FAU and a BCS team.  Our starting 22 are getting closer to the level of any D-1 team but it's the depth after that where we will get our butts kicked for many more years until we are a much more established program.

yeah, in 2000 i think nebraska played San Jose St. they actually led nebraska into the 3rd quarter, and then they just ran out of steam and nebraska was just able to continue with depth.

And I'm confident our offense can play with anyone in college football if A. its not raining and B. the temperature is above 60 degrees.

I think rain is the lamest excuse we could ever have.  I am sure this was born out of the Michigan State game which everyone says we almost won…except for the fact that we did not score a point.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that it probably rains as much in south Florida as much as it does anywhere in the country and we probably practice in it as much or more than anyone in the country because we do not use indoor facilities.

Yes, we had a couple plays that we should have and could have converted for points against MSU, but the rain impacted MSU as well.  If it didn't rain, they probably would have won by at least the same 17 points.

If we cannot play in the rain then we need to practice more.

I was at that game and have lived in Florida for 9 years….I have never seen it rain like that in Florida for that period of time.  It rained incredibly hard the ENTIRE game, the stadium was flooded.  I know both teams had to play in that but the name of our game is a passing attack….kind of hard to execute in a monsoon.  On the flip side, the excelled at the running game (Jevon Ringer) which is much easier to execute in that type of weather.

I was at the MSU game also.

Pierre did run for a touch down that was called back for a holding call. The penalty was no where near the play. So a waste of a touch down.

Rusty was still struggling with his passing game after the Texas injury. He had real problems throwing it accurately. I mean real problems. Ringer was all over the field.

Had Rusty's shoulder been healthy it might have been a different game but we will never know for sure.

That play was the momentum breaker for us, IMO...if it would have been good, totally different outcome obviously...grrr.
