Extremely disappointed after first two games

Time to protest?  Hold people accountable?  Really??  Some of you guys need to get a grip and accept reality.  This team needs all the support it can get.  The time to protest or "hold people accountable" would be if the team wasn't working hard or trying to improve.  That is not what is happening here.  What I have seen is a young team that is improving (especially on defense), but the results just aren't there yet.  You do realize that we were basically starting from scratch last season, right?  This was never going to be a quick fix.  Anyone who thought that it was is crazy.

Give it some time, we are headed in the right direction.  These first 2 games were not a real good test for this team.  Miami is really good and facing ECU on the road, on a short week no less, is not a good indication of how the rest of this season will go.  At some point in the near future, the results will start to match the effort and you'll be sorry you decided to jump ship so soon.

Haha at this post please lets be real this team might be worse then last year. We are tired of the moving in the right direction bull. A 1aa school out up 38 on ECU last week and you say you like our effort. Please Pelini should not have been allowed on the plane last night.

First of all blaming the head coach is just lazy, especially when the head coach took over the worst program in I-A ONE year ago.  If you don't give a head coach more than a season to turn a team around, then this program will never improve.  Be mad if you want…I'm not happy about losing either, but at some point, you have to look at the state of this program realistically.  Thinking this rebuilding team would be anything more than 0-2 against UM and ECU (on the road, on a short week) was wishful thinking.

How the hell does Arkansas St go from a 4-8 team in 2010 to a 10-2 team in 2011 in JONESBORO ARKANSAS!!!!  and we're an ungodly 4-29 or some sh!t. Jonesboro might be the worst place in America to play football and they went 10-2!

You get one year to turn the ship around, you had that last year, you had your recruiting class, now figure it out. I don't know if Chun will have the patience for a 2-10 season, he doesn't have ties to CP.

How did we not bring in a Freshman QB last year in Pelini's first recruiting class?

Arkansas State wasn't the least talented team in I-A when they made a coaching change.  There's a big difference from starting from 4-win bad(and looking at that season, they lost a lot of 1 score games) and 1-win, worst in the country, bad.  This is a TOTAL rebuild and we're only 1 season and 2 games into it.

I do agree that if there is not a lot of tangible improvement by the end of this season, I could see Chun, because Pelini isn't "his guy", contemplating a change, but calling for it now is silly.

I'm not calling for his head…yet :)

I expected to be 0-3 to start the season, and we have some bright spots, our Defense was totally screwed by our inept offense yesterday, they played well overall, I'd give them a B.

but, the fact is, if this QB thing isn't sorted out, we are looking at having fewer wins this year than last year.

Not saying you, specifically are calling for his head.  Just the notion that anybody would be after 2 games against better teams is silly.

And yes, the QB position has to be figured out.  It's time to just let Hankerson have the job and live with the growing pains.  We'll be better for it in the long run. There is a role for Johnson, but it is not starting at QB.

Forget we played against UM and ECU. It is the way this offense plays, the offensive coordinator plays calling and QB decision making process during spring is what frustrates people the most. Pelini is so secretive about his super creative offensive attack packages, but our offense keeps pounding the ball through the middle. The coordinator from Montana came to FAU so highly regarded because he mixed his offensive style with air attack and running game, plus his up-tempo offense, but we are slow, predictable and lack creativity. I don't know the future, but I don't see FAU beating USF.  We are also in our 1st year in C-USA; therefore, I don't expect a good year.

It's hard to be very creative offensively when you are handcuffed at the QB position, either by talent or youth.  The one thing I will gladly criticize is the handling of the QB situation.  Pick one!  And by now it's fairly obvious, for a lot of reasons, that Hankerson should be the choice. Let him grow into the role.

I don't know who but someone on the staff that has anything to do with the offense, the QB's, and the play calling needs to go!!!! Don't try to save face, give German a chance…..Period

Best play of the night was when Hankerson was flushed out of the pocket (where he shouldn't be in the first place) and threw on the run for a completion.

We don't have Cam Newton OR Auburns O Line, that style of option offense isn't working, lets spread it out.
