After reading Chun's bio you linked he certainly sounds like he has the experience needed to drive funds into the program.

Most of the major machinery seems to be in place (Facilities and Coaches) now we need someone to bring in the Fuel to make it run.

Im not sold on the idea that former athletes make good AD's.

I don't believe in learn as you go. Experience is king. I like Chaves as he has AD experience (5 years) and a history as a strong marketer.

Experience as an AD is main reason I favor him and coming from a small school with same limits on resources as FAU is another reason.  He knows it takes money to make money but when you have no money, you need to find other ways to make money.  Not so sure guys from OSU and Pitt can deal with this.

Eastern Washington won a National Championship in football under his watch as well.

Its fun to talk about based on the canidates "resume"…but I couldn't have a serious opinion on who I would like to see hired without meeting them in person.

Time is ticking away… i hope they get on this and hire the right person soon….. from what i am hearing, the candidates have all been OK, but not anything thats making people say wow… we'll see what happens.

Well President Saunders is on vacation and mentioned earlier the search committee is narrowing down the list.

Even Melissa on an interim basis has done some good things so imagine when a full-time AD comes aboard.

I think President Saunders is back. I saw her car parked in her space when I arrived at campus this morning from the train station. Maybe they will finally finish off the search. I hope.
