FAU announces BOGO for MTSU game.

Post

It think they are DESPERATE to get buts in the seats for this.

That's good business, not desperation.  I wish they were doing more of this to get people out to the games.  When you are 4-25 in your last 29 games, you have to do whatever it takes to get people back in the stadium.

plus they gave flyers out for schools for students to give to parents. I have heard radio adverstisements, as well as seen them on the Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel websites as well.

We may be desperate to get people there but I don't think this is a desperate move. $5 tickets anywhere in the stadium would be a desperate move.

This is a good idea and we should have been doing it all last year too. I hope it continues.

Sure makes me wonder WHY I purchase season tickets every year when they do deals like this.

That's the wrong way to look at it.

All teams run special deals…especially teams who have 4 wins in their last 29 games.  You buy season tickets every year (at least I do) to support my school and the program.  It doesn't matter to me what everyone else is paying to get in…I know my tickets help the cause.  Hopefully, having season ticket priority will pay off one day once the stadium is consistently full.  Until then, you have to understand that they have to do what they have to do to get butts in the seats.

First of all, I've been buying season tickets since 2003.  I've been through the good and the bad, maybe not as hard core as some others but I've been there.

I've traveled to see the team in places we had zero chance to win and places we weren't welcome.  I was there with Walty & TeamBeer in Birmingham with the 15 other FAU fans when we won.  I was with them in Austin when we got our d*cks knocked in the dirt.  Gainesville twice etc.

Season ticket purchases give you and me and everyone else that purchases them ZERO priority for anything now.  The OSF donations determine priority.

I'm fine with filling seats but give something special to the faithful that commit to the season months before we know what the product on the field looks like.  Give us a special breakfast or luncheon.  A special pre-game gathering on FAU's dime.  Give me something to make me feel like I'm valued MORE than the guy that buys the BOGO.  That guy shows up for the special deal and nothing else.
