If I were you and an opposing team's fans booed during those instances, I would take it up with them personally at the game.  I wouldn't wait to post it on their message board.

I am way too proud of FAU, as I am sure you are of Troy, to allow fans to treat my team with such lack of disrespect.

I don't think booing seniors is a big deal what do you expect us to do? It was the biggest game to date in our programs history we wanted you guys to know we were there and we were going to be loud. I wasn't there but I'm guessing thats why made sure you guys heard them. Whether you admit it or not leading up to this game EVERY troy fan was full of confidence and very cocky. If you look on the Troy message boards they even had their hotel rooms in N.O. booked, forgive us for letting you know you didn't win anything yet.

Omar went down on 1 knee and took his helmet off that is much different then if he was laying on the ground writhing in pain and he was having trouble moving or had the wind knocked out of him. Had he been seriously hurt I doubt anyone would cheer.

What it basically comes down to is that the Troy fans were so cocky and confident they'd easily beat FAU and then when they lost, they were in such utter shock that I'm sure some of your fans prompted some of our fans. Not everyone can be a saint, you're going to have your good fans, you're going to have your bad fans. Just because some of our fans cursed or cheered when Omar went down doesn't mean we are classless. It means we are passionate fans.

You know that had the situation been reversed and Rusty had been hit really hard and got knocked down ALL your fans would have erupted they would have been loud and pumped up and gotten the team pumped.

So cheering when he is a little hurt instead of really hurt makes a difference? Your logic is lacking sir. As I said before there were instances when FAU players were hurt. The stadium was quiet.

As far as some Troy fans being cocky you take that up with them. There was no instagation with the exception of the few FAU fans that were hanging off the upper deck that were taunting and cursing at Troy fans. They were removed.

I made my prediction not because I was cocky but because it was a realistic prediction. I doubt that it had anything to do with the mentality of the players anyway.

LOL.  I was thinking the same thing.  Every team has some fans that are jerks.  People have been "inappropriately" cheering and booing at football games long before we started playing.  How exactly would you like us to put an end to this?  ???
