FAU Classless Fans
Troy was winning for a lot of the game, so the quite stadium argument is stupid. And besides, it was very loud in the second half.
I am way too proud of FAU, as I am sure you are of Troy, to allow fans to treat my team with such lack of disrespect.
Huh?
The Troy fans had threads dedicated to the threat FAU offered. Most fans knew and posted that the game could be close or lost. Some people made New Orleans reservations because they found good deals, and they knew they could cancel at little or no cost. You might learn this the hard way, but by waiting until the teams are set, you do not find inexpensive airfare and hotels sell out. Last year, the Sunbelt hotel was unavailable on the first Monday after Troy inked its bid.
Read up and post again.

I don't remember that being about Troy not giving us enough credit. So "read up and post again" back to you.

BMarkey, no disrespect but Troy was actually losing for most of the game. They took their first lead in the 2nd quarter and held it through the entire quarter and half time and then shortly after the 3rd quarter started we took the lead and never relinquished it.
Some fans also thought Troy would win by 21, some fans also thought it wouldn't be even close and Troy would kill FAU and we didn't stand a chance. The Troy fans had threads dedicated to the threat FAU offered. Most fans knew and posted that the game could be close or lost.

There's more then just 1 hotel in N.O. if this was the national championship game then I understand especially when 90,000 people will be there and you want to make sure you have a place to stay. A lot of Troy fans booked their reservations in N.O. thinking it was a sure thing they'd be playing in the game and they'd be playing Memphis.
I don't think anyone is looking to start an argument here but it's football it's a contact sport, people are going to get hit hard. No one is rooting for him to get injured. No one said ya know I really hope Omar breaks his leg so he can't ever play football again.
We are just passionate about FAU and about our team and we get caught up in the moment
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: FAU Classless Fans
There is a theme, anytime an opposing team/fans comes into another's house there will be some "classless fans/players" thats sports…..thats why some people love them and thats why some people hate them. ITS COMPETITION!

Re: FAU Classless Fans
Many Troy fans predicted a close game. The experts set a 15-point line, so what did you expect? If the game were played again today, the line would probably be the same or a bit less. That number of turnovers would not happen again.
Taking up a sportsmanship issue, during a game, with inappropriately-screaming, potentially drunk fans is probably the worst thing anyone could have done. You must like a good fight, because that would have been the only outcome of your suggestion.
Troy led in the first half and at the half, and for part of the third. Only during the middle and late third was the game not close. There was no reason for anyone to be quiet for long.

Exactly. There is only one point in which Troy was in the lead… when they were 9-7… and that was in the end of the second quarter if I remember correctly.
You mean to say that FAU was winning for a lot of the game.
