Re: FAU D / O; Still Cause for Concern

what"s up owl fans I just got back from that rain soaked weekend game. I have been following the game of football for a while and I wisely state that if you want to be a big time program ,you must first carry yourself like a big time program ,from the front office,to the coaches ,and on to the players. i am not being negative here, just a realist. we got out coached plain and simple. if the run game is the weak link in most of the messages i've been reading, then why  did D'Ivory Edgecomb (5.7) ,Willie Rose(4., and charles Pierre (4.6) have good rushing averages ? We all speak about us being one demensional but we are not ,we just don't stay with the running game long enough to build up the confidence of the offensive line. example number one  when charles Pierre ripped off that long gainer ,why didn't we stay with the run ??.On the very next play a pass play was called . There's too much jumping around  the play book. So What the play was called back ,Michigan State didn't stop us, it was a cheap holding call. Cont6inue to run the ball and make them stop us. Two,you can't bully Mother Nature . 8 for 34 that's pitiful. We have running backs that can do what ringer did ,if given enough opportunities. D'Ivory Edgecomb is an All State running back , but he's being spread out all over running kicks back ,playing slot receiver, fullback, and of course his normal position of tail back. give the ground game a chance. the offensive lineman were screeming at the offensive coordinator(Nord) to run the ball more, but did he ? obviuosly not. this is not a one or two man game, this is a team game/sport and the sooner Nord and Rusy realize this , we are guaranteed to win games like this past weekend's game. if all that talk about being a number  1 N.F.L. prospect ,then the prospect needs to become a student of the game, and run the ball to pick up positive yards on first, second or even third downs and help his team ,instead of walking to the sideline flailing his arms placing blame on everyone else. Run for a first down when the pocket breaks down,or is that asking too much from a number 1 prospect ??.Every major turnover that killed our drives to score this young season were the result of the number 1 prospect not playing team ball and his position coach being arrogant trying to promote his so called star who's picture is plastered on billboards around South Florida. Big Time Players Step Up In Big Time Games. Here's a tip RUSTY and NORD, be students of the game and keep your egos off the field. This is a TEAM game, not the RUSTY and NORD remix. Just Keeping it real for those that are afraid to tell it like it is. piece.

Did you watch the Texas game?

(23 carries for 37 yards TOTAL)

What's you "thoughts" on our running game there?

How about UAB?

(326 yards passing)

How about comment on that?
