Saying its a done deal:

Florida Atlantic: A couple of night ago, it was first reported right here on the Coaching Search Ticker that Miami (OH) defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis had an offer from Carl Pelini.  I have now confirmed that Rekstis has indeed accepted the defensive coordinator job at FAU.

Wonder that too.  With all these Ohio coaches I wish we had the budget to recruit effectively up there.  There is a ton of talent in Ohio and you would have to think we have some benefits to sell them here at FAU.  Aside from Ohio State I wouldn't be scared to recruit against anybody in the state of Ohio.

Recruits make videos and send them to the schools, I would hope we (FAU) can produce a slick neat and enticing video of FAU and the stadium and send one out to thousands of recruits across the country, then just follow up on those who 1) respond, and 2) meet you qualities and needs for the team. WE should be getting interest like crazy from potential recruits all across the country but ESPECIALLY from the northeast, midwest and west! Promote that "FOOTBALL IN PARADISE" theme we have here at Florida ATLANTIC University!
At a minimum it will spread the news of who and where we are and then winning will draw even more attention. With the stadium in place and good young & hungry coaches we should be getting set for a LONG run at the top in just a few years!
