on the other hand, Quez looked flustered. I'm with you guys in thinking that he'll probably still start by virtue of his game leadership but if he plays anything like he did today, I'd imagine Greg will be in by the second quarter of the opener. Last year that would concern me; this year it would not (if it goes anything like it did today)
In fact, we're in all sorts of good shape at QB as Driskel did pretty well considering how briefly he's been with the team. That guy has a lot of potential there too. Excited to see him develop. Don't think he'll be as big of a project as the other QBs we've historically recruited.
We're also in good shape at WR, seems like, between Dukes, Stoshak, Whitehead and now DJ Juste.
And hey, how about #5 Martese Jackson? Don't know where he stands on the depth chart but he can MOVE and he looks like he's having a lot of fun doing it. Would love to see him have a breakout season in his final year.
Not too many drops, which is always a good sign, although some of the snaps were too high and we need to get that locked down at center. That was one thing I was worried about and it showed today.
Defense looked great. Like DE Trey Hendrickson's potential.
Overall a great scrimmage. Offense was up to 51 points before they rest it. Tried to keep track beyond that and it was about 75 points overall in the end, though some of that came from back-to-back endzone scenarios.
We look solid. We should be optimistic. Spring Game is going to be really interesting.
