ummm is right:

Looks like Jeb was gonna pay for this and you can't seriously have thought that a public university would be responsible for funding or constructing an off ramp off of an interstate.

We weren't supposed to build the University Commons shopping center before Glades was widened but we did that too, muahahahahahaha…it seems as though FAU might not care what the city of Boca wants.

I would just like to point out that this is the first time ever on this board that the words "fauowl" and "eloquent surmise" have been used in the same sentence.

Another event will be taking place this weekend, with the call to the FAU Community to come out and be a part…

Only problem is there is no scheduled FAU participation at present.

I spoke to Bonnie Kaye, head of the PR Firm that handles getting the word out for for the City yesterday inquisitive as to why there were no Owls scheduled for participation for the event, but they were labeling it with "Special FAU Day Festivities". There are drink specials for FAU students with Ids…

She informed me that they were unable to get the band involved, as well as Coach or members of the team, given the time of approval to "officially" involve FAU, but that they would certainly be looking to change that in the future.

Passed her contact information for FAU Athletics, so maybe there will be a happy marriage between the Owls & Phins in Boca down the line.

Would be a nice event

Well, if the city or its nicely paid P.R. company had done their JOBS and properly planned this event weeks and months ago, asking the band to participate in July or August as it made its schedule, contacting the athletic director in the summer, shelling out some bucks for band transportation, food, etc., FAU would have been officially involved.
