It might not be all about the money. Maybe he really likes coaching the game as opposed to preparing guys by being a strength coach.

Well yeah if he's going to be the HC then good for him and I totally understand. Going back to your H.S. and seeing if you have what it takes is a great idea if you're going to be the head coach.

In either case I wish him well

We all want to make more money and when you make a lateral move that helps you achieve your goals in life then it will surely involve making more money at one point.

Going back to his HS probably afforded him a chance to to make a lateral move in the future, as a coach possibly.  I say good luck to him, he has been an instrumental part of the success we achieved last year, which began the day he became our strength coach.

He's a strength coach!, What do you want us to do, you want us to throw a parade for him? What kind of recognition should he get. He's making more money as the H.S.. Until you know the full story, don't speculate. For all you know he could have gone back because he wants the chance to become a head coach and the opportunity arose for him to go back to his H.S.

a sense of team develops only when everyone reaps an equal share of a championship.

From the sounds of this, and I have zero "inside info", is that other coaches received a bonus for winning the NO Bowl and perhaps he did not.  Or maybe did not get a ring?  Just my interpretation of this comment.

I have an idea, based on other comments made by jugg (he made some comments about how he thought it was crappy nobody showed up for pro workouts)….we may be talking to the former strength coach himself.
