It has been quiet & probably will be until signing day.  All effort is on recruiting at the moment.

I know a lot of time and effort has to be put into recruiting right now. This is just my personal opinion but  how can it be good or help recruiting when we dont even have an OC.  also, with so many of our coaches working on this nation vs texas game, does this mean they are losing some of the time they would typically be spending on recruiting during this time of the year.

I agree. I don't see how not having an OC is anything but harmful to recruiting. Most schools make a new hire within 1-2 weeks after a coach leaves.

The Nation vs. Texas thing also has to be taking away from time spent recruiting. Hopefully the coaches are confident enough in the quality of players who have already committed that they can afford to spend time focusing on a less than prestigious "all-star" game.

I may not be a harmful as you might think - consider that Howard will be looking for someone to run the same type of offense, so not a surprised on what to expect.

The kids don't seem to be concerned about it.

As far as the Texas vs Nations, must coaches are not on FAU's current staff and they all coaches that will be joining Howard all have worked with him at one time of another - I don't see this as being a distraction, but a positive.  Consider this for a moment, some thought he was an over the hill, where today's style of game made him a dinosaur and the game had past him by.  Back-to-back bowl games, coaching the Texas vs nation games.  The way I see it, it says all the opposite of the above statements & that he still got game & it should help show that he isn't going anywhere soon.  The guy continues to show he can still coach.

This can only help recruiting, especially if other coaches are using age and everything above for an edge.

Not really, all efforts are on recruiting.

So, don't look for anything to happen till the Feb. 4th has come & gone.
