As much of a homer as I am, I do not think our line's are physical enough to beat OSU. FAU will hang with them longer this year, and hopefully make it a close one, but I cant see our running game controlling the ball and Rusty and his now 3 receivers aren't there yet. :-/

Alright? Try to follow the logic in this prediction. FAU plays OSU who share the same initials as Ohio State University. Ohio State University beat the crap out of Youngstown. Youngstown has 10 letters in it, the same as Louisville. Louisville had a tough game against MTSU who we all know the owls beat without any problems. Therefore it is obvious what the outcome will be this week?

I don't think OSU will be making 15 play 80 yard drives and scoring. I think they will score off of some big plays like long passes or some mistake by FAU. If the offense can't get some production, the defense will be on the field too long. The offense is still not proven against a worthy opponent. No disrespect MTSU but 725 yards by Louisville has to set some record somewhere. If any team were to get half of that it would be considered a good game.

As much as I would love to see us pull an upset today and the Owls are primed for one, it has been way to long since we had a BIG win, I just don't think it will be today.

The offense is an improved unit, I just don't think it matured enough yet to pull-out a game like this - when you look at an App. St., their offense is a fine tuned machine and that is what allows lower level teams to pull-out upsets because they have an establish offense. Ours still needs some seasoning - next year our offense could be rather scary.

Now, if we can make this a defensive struggle and the team that makes the lest amount of mistake will have a shot at finishing on top - the weather could become a factor today and if the Owls can dig in and be physical on both sides of the ball, then you bet we will have a shot. We are facing a much better offensive team then the Smurf Puppies brought to Lockhart. The offense will have to do their part if we have any chance to pull a W today or it will be another long day for the defense :'(
