We go through this every year. This is nothing new. The "experts" always predict based on the previous year's team and results. I think we decided that this is typical of Sunbelt teams since they don't get much attention by the media and the predictions are just an after though.
whoa whoa whoa. We're a Conference USA team now

We will be soon.
Like I said though, we have seen this every year since FAU moved up to D-1A.

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

What's next?
How about a prediction post immediately after the last down of the season is played.

it's how owl ranger gets his jollies in the off season
All good, just busing chops…
BUT:
If one is going to write something that early, they ought to at least make meaningful arguments.
At best, this is seriously lacking any substance:
Summary: Get used to life on the road – again. The Owls are used to being everyone’s guests, and this season isn’t any different starting out with five road games in the first six with only a home game against Middle Tennessee to break up the run. If that wasn’t bad enough, going to Auburn and Southern Miss means seven of the first ten games are on the road, but there’s a break in the end staying home to face New Mexico State before closing out with rival, FIU. From the West, having to face Rice on the road isn’t going to be a plus this season, while the Tulane game will be a must win to have any hope of coming up with a strong finishing kick.
Ok, we get it…a lot of road games. But to say that alone equals a 2-10 mark is weak, IMO.
