Hey all! I snuck on here last night and read the game thread. But didn't want to post as it was a tough time for you guys. But wanted to say that it was great talking with you all the last couple of weeks. Learned a lot about FAU this week. Thanks for that!

I hope your season bounces back and you win out and keep building steam. Unfortunately this game wasn't the competitive we all thought it could be. I think as long as you guys have Kiffin you'll be getting better and better. He knows how to game the system. And I don't mean that in a bad way, just that he's an out-of-the-box thinker when it comes to recruiting, etc.

Anyhow, I think when you all get your QB position figured out you'll start seeing rapid progress!

Happens when you let one side of your game go bad. OU has to earn respect by rebuilding the reputation of a good defense. Until then, we're just another Texas Tech under Mike Leach. :\

You guys are super underrated this year. Best of luck, and hope you make it to the playoffs. 

Class post. OU made FAU look like a team from the years past of 2-9 records. I am confident that FAU will rebound and have success in conference, but the gap between a top 5 team like OU and FAU is just too big. I think OU is going to go on to a big year.

OU fans are cautiously optimistic. We've had our hopes up on defense before and it didn't pan out. Our talent level has increased a lot and I think it showed.

Still, I'll be checking in on the forum every now and then. I enjoyed my time here.

QUESTION:
I’m a 1000+ miles away and I can’t make good observations of the team just watching them on TV. 

Where was the difference in this game. Is OU bigger, stronger, faster? 
Do they execute better? 
Are they just better football players, better athletes? What happened? 

I wouldn’t have asked this question 6 or 7 years ago since I know where we were with talent then. I’m just trying to get a idea where the team is. Do we need a few more recruiting years under Kiffin? 

Yes to all Ill Owl! They are bigger, faster and joist better, mostly 4 and 5 star recruits, we are at best 50% 3 and 50% 2 star talent! Gonna take 3 more years IMHO!
