FAU vs. UAB Game...
Florida Atlantic University’s Student Government will host a football watch party for the FAU versus UAB game on Saturday, November 7 at 1 p.m. in the Student Union’s Grand Palm Room, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
FAU’s OwlTV will travel with the team to Alabama to provide the game via a live web stream feed. The play-by-play coverage will feature ESPN 760 AM radio’s Ken LaVicka and Coach Fred O’Connor.
The event is free to all FAU students, and a $5 donation will be required non FAU students. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at Coyote Jacks.

How many does that room hold…anyone know??
Yeah, I don't think that should be a problem. I think kids on campus would rather play Frisbee or study in their dorms than watch a 2-5 disaster of a team. Talk about a joke of a season.

Yeah tell me about it. I mean, I love FAU and I'm out there regardless but it's not hard to see why students are losing the faith.
Hopefully the basketball team can give them something to support. I'd love to see the student section filled in the Burrow this year… which sounds like a taller order than it actually is.

Word of mouth, you can market as much as you want, it's word of mouth. If we start playing great and they're fun and exciting to watch, word will get around campus and people will show up. At bigger schools people show up no matter how good or bad the team is because of the competition they play. No one wants to see us play Lynn lol. I know it's a scrimmage and I'll be there but people don't care.
Now if we were playing UM at the burrow or even UCF people would show up. If someone who doesn't know much about Sun Belt sports wants to attend a game and they ask who are we playing and your response is oh Arkansas Little Rock I'm sure they're going to say no thanks or WHO?

This is why eventually possibly moving up to C-USA would help us so much. C-USA has more nationally recognized teams which would helps issues such as attendance because fans want to see a higher level of competition as you said.

The reason for the 5 dollar donation is, we are trying to recover the 5,000 dollar pricetag of the event. If not, it will mean our budget will be cut 5,000 dollars, which means we wont be able to fix cameras, cover events, buy new equipment to make coverage better.
The room holds around 400.
Coyote Jacks isn't wired correctly to receive an outside signal. (It would be neat to fix this if we had the budget)
If the event doesn't have enough attendance to cover costs, chances are there won't be another one. So this only hurts future events by not attending because of the teams current record. People have gone to cubs games for decades with losing records, and still packed the house.
