I can watch it too? Even more reason for me, someone who lives out of state, to say "thanks" and help offset their costs. Even though I won't be at home (I'll be volunteering at a state-wide wheelrchair bball tourney), I will be cheering loud for the Owls!

Did anyone attend the watch party on campus? What was the turn out like?

Pretty sure the Defense was there, they sure as hell werent in Birmingham.

I have a feeling that's about the number of fans at our next game.  Announced attendance will be 16,500 of course  ;D

Divide that by three and you're probably closer to the actual number. Look, it was a great set-up with four big projection screens and even one with a Gametracker running. They did a phenomenal job setting up and I find no fault there (except their dumb "no re-entry" policy, not even at halftime… what?)

But in terms of attendance: there were 5 frat guys off to the right, about twenty people in the middle and about 15 on the other side by the bar/food area. And when you consider how well the defense played, it may have been a good thing no one was there. I brought over some of my grad school friends from smaller colleges up north in an attempt to get them into it but they were more interested in the free food. After UAB's fifth TD, one of my friends stood up, stretched and said, "This is embarassing. I'm going to grade papers." Not surprisingly, no one has committed to come to Lockhart this weekend.

As a side note, the ESPN760 announcers weren't muting their microphones as well as they could have and at one point said something about how they wanted to jump out of the press box.

I'm looking forward to FAU basketball tomorrow night.

Turnout was week and could have been better. We didn't have much time to advertise so I think that had a lot to do with it. Glad to hear you liked the screens and all the hard work that went into the set-up. B/C there was alcohol you had the rules!
