Favorite moments from 2017 season?
Seeing the Black Hawk helicopters fly over and the Navy players kneel in the south end zone were the first indicators this season was going to be a little different.
The (first) North Texas game was the most exciting game I've been to in years. That first quarter was a work of art.
Realizing we could host the C-USA championship game - the excitement of another tailgate, another game in FAU Stadium, and getting to see this team one more time.
The Shula Bowl, the potential to host College Game Day, driving down to Miami with the wife and kids to lobby ESPN, having tons of family and friends attend the game, watching the players run to grab the trophy, rushing the field - best of times for a single game!
2018 can't get here quick enough.
Firing A Struggling Coach Often Fails To Solve A College Football Program's Attendance Problem
With all the negative pub both NCAA and NFL football attendance are receiving now - at least FAU in the positive news section.
Oh and FIU is NOT!
Rick saidMy favorite moment was waxing UNT the first time…for once in like 10 years it was fun to see us put up crazy points (a record even) and just enjoy the game without worrying about the other team coming back to steal it in the end.Posted On: Mar 2nd 2018, 9:57 AM
I really liked that their fans came to the board and talked trash, it was entertaining, but we beat them so bad that they didn't even bother returning for the rematch.
But beating MTSU for the first time in a decade felt amazing. I stayed till the very end to make sure I wasn't just dreaming. I was telling myself, I need a picture of the scoreboard or this never happened.
Hanging 69 on UNT and going nuts in the Acura Club with Team Beer and like seven other people was fun, especially contrasting the attendance in the Club by the end of the season.

LOVE seeing FAU on a GOOD list after YEARS AND TEARS OF CRAP!
