I have Read several comments about ULL resting starters in multiple threads and from multiple sources.

I am baffled by that strategy, if it is a strategy.  It's not like they are playing for the NC next week.  They will have 3 weeks off until the NO Bowl.

Other than players that have some injuries and need a month to rehab, I think resting starters for the sake of resting starters for this game would be very perplexing.  Teams at our level need to win games for credibility.

I would be disappointed if that even entered their thought process.

+1  No one is resting their starters…also the guys on our roster are not sitting to give next years guys early work, that's what spring is for.

Have to consider the sources.

Will they take them out given a valid opportunity to do so? Would make sense.

But that would mean a 21+ point advantage at some point.

Not seeing it happening, although it is possible given prior meltdowns.

The way Hudspeth spoke of the Owls during his Monday presser, he's expecting a game.

One could argue that he was just being "cliche", and "opponent complimentary", but not buying it.

Way over the top for that.

didn't pelini say he wanted to get some younger guys looks today? it would be nice to go out with a win but if some younger guys get some game looks i don't really care if we lose if it can help us next season.

It's funny how everyone says the D is the problem when before the year started everyone thought it would be the O. But, I totally agree. WE NEED BIGGER INTERIOR D LINEMEN. Our guys are tough, just a bit under sized. Good game today but    ULL 32 FAU 24
