Both MTSU and ASU are huge games for MSU because we're recruiting the same kids. I've heard countless excuses for this years' loss as well as last years. Memphis can't tolerate the idea of losing to either school, but they should be getting used to it.
The Sun Belt owns Memphis.  ;D

You kind of made my point. You are right we can't stand to lose to you because we don't think we should. We consider it an insult.

You won the last couple of years. No excuses. But own us? History lesson little brother. We are not traditionally a good football program but since modern history lets say since 1980 the U of M vs ASU record is 14-4-2. I know you were 1-AA for some of that but we didn't move to University status until 1957 and we only played once in 60-70s. In 80 and 82 we won a total of 3 games. Two of those were against ASU. You beat us last year on a last second hail mary in a 2 win season. Tie in 90 we won 4 games. Loss in 89 we won 1 game. loss in 86 we won one game. If I remember right your hay days were in the 80s under Larry Lacewell, a class guy and great coach. So any success you have had vs Memphis has come in our absolute worst years.

ASU loads up on Memphis players who love to beat Memphis. We ususally play one of worst games of the year vs you and still manage to win most of them. Remember what I said about us not having a strong program….you are less than that over time.

We are not taking FAU lightly. They have some good athletes and have played some tough competetion this year. ASU and MTSU (both very average or less teams) just happened to catch us at the right time.

FAU can brag because they are in a bowl. You however will continue to watch your belly grow eating junkfood on your couch for the next 3 weeks.

Hope you enjoyed the last couple of years. History says it will be another decade before you do it again.

This is one of the most inhospitable boards I've ever visited. Not as bad as ole miss but very close. I wont be back. Good luck with building your program.

nah I knew you werent talking to me jab. I just didnt know what i said that was so inhospitable. What did that guy want. Someone on an Fau board to respond to his history lesson on Memphis and ASU.  It was an ASU fan visiting our board that was commenting to him in the first place.

Wow i am upset….take bossman with you…..last time i checked the visiting team was never given much respect on the other teams board……maybe we should open up a new thread off the home site….it could read…..
