HI everyone from NO, it's been great so far, met a few members already - I can say that everyone here are pretty stoked about being here and met some Alumni's that have follwed the team from afar that are here in NO supporting the team.

Here is what the Owls will need to do today for a WIN.

On Offense:
One of the strenght this year was protect Rusty and I do see this thread continuing today and should provide the running game that will be needed to substain drive and help control the clock.  I expect solid performances from both Pierre & Rose today, along with Rusty, Harmon & Gents.  I like what Nord has done with this offense this year, he has thrown some wrinkles, a handful of plays, that the opposing team hasn't seen which have been executed well during the games which have provide a good momentum swing in the Owls favor, I see this thread to continue today.

If we run the ball effectively and gain 125-150 yards on the ground, we will win this game and I see us having an overall rushing total of over 200 yards for this game.

On Defense:
The front 4 will have to have another solid game and provide pressure, this way we can pick and chose when to blitz.  Our corners & secondary will have their hands full with the miss-macth that the Tigers receivers create, but will can offset by Small & Polo being aggressive with them and using their speed to their advantage, they are small, but do play like they are bigger.  Creating turnovers is something they have done well and should be the difference maker in this game, I see at least 2 picks from the Defense today.

Overall:
I see the offense continuing the output production from the most recent games, it is showing that Rusty & his receivers are finally getting great production after losing most of our starters (receivers)at the beginning of the season and is now making a big difference.  The running will provide a nice supporting cast keeping the Tigers defense on their heels all night.

The defense even though they give up yardages, will have a solid performance supprising some that think this unit has being weak.  This is a unit that had it's struggles when two of the top DL went-out with injuries with one being the leader of the defense.  They have now regrouped and playing with the attitude you expected from them all season.

I expect the same type of performance we had against Troy.

We are not traditionally a good football program but since modern history lets say since 1980 the U of M vs ASU record is 14-4-2.

You guys were able to pad that record during our worst 'transition' years of the 90's. Everyone beat us during those years. Fortunately for you guys, we gave you easy home games without any return games. Now that we're doing 1 for 1, those wins won't come easy anymore…as you now see.
