FINAL: April 11th Scrimmage - Offense Wins 42-12

Based on today's outcome, it's obvious that the "D" is playing catch up to the "O"...was wondering how they would fair if the reverse, or another trick play, was to come at them again...well, here's the answer:

Yes, Chris Bonner took it all the way to the house...60 yards worth of house!

Owl's Nest and FAU Staff member OWLUMNI was on hand today…

And sporting some VERY nice shorts if I may add…by the looks of it, he came ready to play; with ball in hand!

Way to go Ed !! He really needed that "BONE" but a freezer full of steaks to beef up that 235 lb frame would be nice :)

Offense sounds to be doing really well this year. If anyone remembers last year at this time it wasn't looking good.
Gotta work on that D - we have lots of talent - guess they just need get used to playing together or are we working on yet another new scheme? IMO, that is what killed us last year.

Happy Easter Owls and eat LOTS !!!

Hmmmm…I know it's only a spring scrimmage but the Defense is already starting to make me a tad bit nervous.

Usually the Defense is ahead during spring, but our defense does have a few holes that need to be plugged, so it's not surprising to see them struggle a bit - they are facing an offense that has just everybody back in all key areas, except on the line & RB positions.  And it looks like we will be OK at RB's.  The line still needs some work.

The problem is that the least experienced part of the offense (O-line and RBs) is what is killing the defense.

GO OWLS!!!

Scary, but it shows the type of players we have on offense in those positions, the OL still needs works.

The defense is young and Spring is a good time for them to learn the areas they need to improve in.
I think we will be OK come August.
