FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

We are excited for each of you to enjoy the first home game in YOUR on campus stadium. I walk through the stadium on a daily basis and it is beautiful.  You will get chill bumps the first day you walk in!  Be proud… Without you and your support none of this would be possible!

Re: FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

By the way and sorry to hi-Jack the thread.... The bookstore will have 3 sells stores open in the stadium on game day. So Owls merchandise will be available in stadium on game day. In addition, Chick n Grill, Subway, Tomassos Pizza, Chick fill a and PCI will run the concession stands on game days.

Re: FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

Mdawson, if I am understanding you correctly, the real reason we have restricted tailgating hours of only 4 hours before kickoff is because that's the  day shift of USA Parking's service? I see now. If fans come too early, you won't have people there to collect parking fees…

Re: FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

Owlcountry- USA Parking has nothing to do with why the parking lots open 4 hours prior to the game or the limited tailgating time.  They will be there whenever we ask them to be there.  The tailgating hours are more a safety and security issue for the FAU Police.

In addition, the 4 hour tailgating time is consistent with past policy.

Will the three bookstore stores actually have merchandise or will they have the seven polo's and five hats they typically roll out to events?  The inventory, if you can call it that, at every game is a joke.  The selection is unimpressive and boring EVERY SEASON!

Re: FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

Not sure exactly what merchandise will be available.  Barnes and Nobles has the merchandise rights to the stadium. They have made the commitment to build out all stores located in the stadium.  3 will be operational this year.

I do know they will have FAU mini helmets as their shipment was mistakenly delivered to us today.  Players kept complaining about how tight they were so we finally figured it out :)

Re: FINALLY!!! Tailgate & Parking Info Released

Probably a really stupid question, but the parking map says "Single Game Ticket Holders."  I'm assuming we'll be able to park if we don't have a ticket, and then walk up and buy one before gametime?

Interesting that they are concluding tailgating at kickoff.  That's always been a problem at UCF - thousands of people continuing to tailgate while the game goes on.  I wonder how that will be enforced?  Will we have a bunch of drunk people who didn't feel like attending the game driving around Boca because they got kicked out of the lot?

ERROR: A link was posted here (img) but it appears to be a broken link.

1) Yes, you should be able to park if you don't have a ticket.

2) At UCF they tell people to pack up and will patrol the area until everyone has done so. I imagine FAU police will do the same. I can't imagine there are a whole lot of people who will drive to campus to tailgate for 4 hours and then not attend the game. And if there are people like that, I'm sure FAU police will monitor that, too.
