What head coach was an FCS coach?

Brian Wright, Roc Bellantoni, Travis Tricket. I'm sure there were more. Not necessarily for HC positions, but for coordinator positions. Contender schools (and I always look at Bama) hire former head coaches as coordinators, analysts, and position coaches, like Lane Kiffin, Mario Cristobal, and Steve Sarkisian.

Not that we'd be able to hire guys of that caliber, but we could probably stand to make some better hires than we have in the past lol.

Not one person ranting about firing Charlie has answered the question about where we are going to come up with 1M+ to buy out his contract and now there is mention of buying out someone else's to bring them here.

I understand everyone is upset, so am I but at some point you have to come back to reality. If it is just blowing off steam, fine but as I said earlier this is ridiculous.

Now back to your ranting about something that will never happen.

I'm not giving any more money after buying a third ticket for two people this week. If another of my season tickets are  "invalid" , I will buy my tickets game buy game next season. Dusky.. no one on here is willing to pay for things. They only want to bi–h about it . Charlie will be with us until his contract is up or he chooses to take a different job. End of story. My attitude from here till the end of the season is, I will still attend the games unless I get a better offer. No more "I must go to the game". Thank god the fishing isn't better or I would never be at the games. And my hunting trips are all in December…..we know we won't be playing in December. My wife says I'm "sour" when it comes to FAU Football.

Somebody gets it.

I'm soured as well but I will finish out the season and evaluate next year's season ticket purchases.

BTW…the fishing has been bad, going to try a dolphin run a Friday but I am not expecting much.

We don't have the money to fire Charlie right now, that's true. So let's hope he finds a way to make it work.

Again, I think he may have to dump Roc after this year is over unless there's a considerable turnaround by the end of the season.

I have thought about this and the season is DEFINITELY over with 9 games to go.  It's a lost cause, I would recommend everyone to stay home and start baseball threads or a recruiting thread.  I on the other hand will have no waiting time in the beer lines at the stadium.   See you all next year.

It is not about just the season.
You take shots at people yet you have yet to offer one thing that Charlie has done well because you simply can't defend him.
Look at FIU as they floundered around with Turner even taking small steps forward in the win column going 1-11, 3-9, 5-7 despite looking awful on the field. Now look at FIU, they might not win a game this year.
Bad coaches stay bad and good coaches win end of story. Charlie is 7-21 with book of excuses.

I just heard that a young FAU fan verbally assaulted Roc's family including his children after the game.  That's disgusting.

Let's not let one idiot define our fan base.

If I had the money to buy out CP's contract, I would. But I don't, and there's no way to look at this and see anything good. I'm sure he'll be here next year - probably saved because we can't buy him out and the o-line is so devastated that he'll have an excuse for the losses. I still don't really see more than 5 wins, and I'm tired of hearing about the flashes of what we could be during press conferences.
