Miami was 7-6 last year and now are #10 in the country.  Im sure they have short sighted trolling fans like yourself that wanted Golden fired last year...just like we will be, I bet they are happy they didn't listen.

Miami went 7-6 becuase they had a really young defense not becuase Golden could not figure out what to do in the 4th Quarter of a football game.

Don't you realize that we're there now? This team believes in themselves, they're a talented bunch of athletes, the coaches recruited well and they absolutely can succeed! It's so hard to just say, "we'll get em next year. We're improving" when we can be winning now if we just clean up a few missteps. I'm certain this is how EVERYONE on the team feels. I'm not calling for anyones heads because when we put together a cohesive game plan, the Owls are a force (looking at you special teams)

Agreed This team has everything it needs to be at least 4-3 right now.
Our Coachs 4th quater decisions have prevented that and all you want to say.
Is We will get them next year.
Please someone needs to be held accountable.

As a mid major program I expect players and coaches to make some of the mistakes we've seen and can live with that so long as they learn from those mistakes and the program progresses reasonably over time. If you are not happy with our current coaches I doubt you would be happy with anyone that we could afford to replace them with.

On the flip side, if we struggle "after" Auburn I think many of us might take a few sips of the OC40 kool-Aid.

GO OWLS!!!

So the coaches threw a late INT against MTSU and fumbled the ball with 6 minutes left for a defensive TD against Rice?  Did they miss 2 kicks against Marshall?

Look, nobody is happy to be 2-5.  The problem that I think most people here have with your position is that you are giving the coaching staff way too much blame for things that they can't control while giving them no credit for the obvious improvement in things that they can.  There's plenty of blame to go around whenever a team losses.  Sure, some it can be coaching, but more of it has been young players making mistakes, and bad luck.

The title says it all he needs to go back to d2….we were in position to win tonight and he tucks his "manhood" between his legs…Herm Edwards said it best you play to win the game and he is an incompetent P.O.S that needs to go ASAP
Posted On: Oct 12th 2013, 8:33 PM #319585

You're trying to convice us that firing Wright would be a good idea by quoting Herm Edwards???  Yeah, you're on the right track….

If it was up to the afterlife Howard would still be here.

Posted On: Oct 14th 2013, 5:53 PM #319778

Ok, when did I ever say that?  And if it were up to you we would bring in entire new coaching staff, lose our recruting class, and have a bunch of players transfer so we could go 2-34 over the next 3 seasons…..Yeah good move….
Posted On: Oct 14th 2013, 6:35 PM #319779
Well at this rate we are most likely we will go 3-24 with this staff anyways.

Posted On: Oct 14th 2013, 8:01 PM #319782

Can someone pleeeaaassseee explain to me where 3-24 came from???

AHAHAHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Saturday
Sept. 8  at Kansas State Wildcats
Bill Snyder Family FB Stadium, Manhattan, KS Lost 52-13

Saturday
Oct. 6  Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL Lost 41-3

Saturday
Oct. 13  North Carolina Tar Heels
Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL  Lost 18-14

Saturday
Oct. 20  Florida State Seminoles (HC)
Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL  Lost 33-20

Saturday

They lost 52-13 and 41-3 because of a young defense???  Didn't know what to do in the 4th quarter?  Looks like he didn't know how to coach the entire game.  Dude, go argue on a board where people dont know/understand football.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

It's a Coachs job to put the players in best position to win and throwing the ball late against MTSU and Rice are on the coaches. Quez should have never thrown that 1st down pass against MTSU and Greg  should not be chucking the ball around at his own 20 in a two point game.
I'm in class with couple players and they said he took the blame for that call against Rice.
If Carl can understand these losses are on him more then anyone why can't you.
Also on the UM this yea they had an extremely young defense and got blown out by two BCS teams nothing Al Golden could do.

So, when we had them on 4th down, with 7 mins to go, and a 9 point lead? That wasn't a good position to win?!…Coaches didn't miss tackles on that TD….C'mon bro, if you just don't like Pelini that's one thing, but to say we haven't been put in positions to win…you're just trying to justify your dislike of him to others on here …We don't see it…

Quez shouldn't have thrown on 1st down in a tied game with a few minutes to go?!?  Why not?  He only threw for 320+ yards and 3 TDs in that game.  Decision making is so easy after the game and you know the results.

nope he should have 100000000% not have thrown the ball in that situation and if you think he should have your are an moron. At that point we had already turned the ball over a couple times.
And we had over 200 yards of rushing at that point.
I mean in the Marshall game we decided to throw the ball on a 3rd and 11 that is not a high percentage play for any one on the country. And yet we do it when we could have ran 45 sec. off the clock.
I mean you are defending a coach who told hi QB to spike a ball on fourth down.

I need you to take a deep breath and accpet the Carl had been about a D graded  coach so far here at FAU.
You might not like the in game examples but just look at the whole Melvin German situation after a year and a half he relizes two weeks before kickoff he can not play QB.
This is the same staff that could not figure out through a whole camp that Curtis was not that good.
Someone please tell me what Carl has done right.
And Ill give you we play better defence.
