Marshall fan:
"But even though they are off to a rough start, someone like FIU with a healthy Morgan could probably meet those criteria above for a win. Most of the other teams in the league that might are in the other division and not on Marshall's schedule. But ultimate, Marshall's receivers were able to escape enough against MAC favorite Ohio to run the offense. I expect that to be the same in CUSA play."
Fau fan:
"I think you forgot you play at FAU in a few weeks and we’re feeling pretty good about how this team is coming together right now especially with MT and Marshall at home after a bye. I hope your team shows up with the same same arrogance, it would make it more fun."
Marshall fan:
"I sincerely apologize that FAU's philosophy and style does not match up as favorably to our exploitable weaknesses as others (namely FIU in the east) do."
Hmm… Thoughts? I know the game against Marshall is in less than 14 days but they seem to be making bolder expectations than I'd predict to this point. Where does FIU show more strength than FAU so far?

Defensively
Passing Allowed
FIU 237 YPGA
Marshall 248 YPGA
FAU 259 YPGA
SOS not the same for FIU, so call it even.
Rushing Allowed
FAU 152 YPGA
Marshall 166 YPGA
FIU 217 YPGA
Again, SOS not the same so major advantage for FAU vs FIU, IMHO.
Offensively
Passing
FAU 291 YPG
FIU 198 YPG
MAR 183 YPG
The Herd will have their hands much fuller against us.
Rushing
MAR 206 YPG
FIU 163 YPG
FAU 129 YPG
With five qualified targets now, we should pass effectively against the Herd, and that will open up holes along the way to them becoming tired mid way through the 3rd quarter (as Charlotte did) while the running game kicks in. Not a definitive, but still like our final average to be greater than displayed above.
Throw In Metrics
Power Index Ratings
FAU 79
Marshall 89
FIU 100
FG Efficiency
FAU 5-of-7 (71%)
FIU 2-of-6 (33%)
Final comment…
Going to have to disagree with the notion that FIU exploits anything more against them…
