How many posts will be about what color to wear?  I agree just show up, hell wear orange and green, but just show up and support the owls.

And do we need to speak to the bookstore since they sell pink, green, gray FAU shirts…NOOOO.

After we have to turn away fans because our seats are full, then we can make sure everyone is color coordinated

hate to say it, and i hope i am wrong, but i dont think it willbe that packed at all this weekend for the celebration or the bball game.  It is suppose to rain a bit and we all know what that does to our fan base……even though it is inside.

Regardless i hope i am wrong, i will be there with jab and some other fans!

I won't be able to make it either.  I was really looking forward to it too…it's going to be a great event.  Can you guys that are going take pictures and video?  Hopefully they get a huge crowd there today.  According to Ted's article in the Sentinel today, the Sun Belt commissioner will be there to hand out the Sun Belt Championship trophy, plus all sorts of good stuff handed out, including free DVDs of the NO Bowl.  Also, I'm sure Coach's speech will be great.  Damn job!!  >:(

Oh well…but everyone else, be sure to be there and be loud.  Show the city, BoT, the Belt, and the 20 or so recruits that will be there  that we support Owls football.  GO OWLS!!

I agree it is enough but if people want to talk about it let them argue over it in the open forum. People are still going to talk about it even though the majority of us don't really care what you wear as long as you show up.

Hope to see everyone at the celebration and BBall game tonight. The Sexy Rexies and the Rowdy Rex's will be tailgating in the parking lot in between the celebration and the mens game. If anyone wants to stop bye and say what's up just look for us I'm sure you can't miss us

I'm not sure me telling people not to talk about it, will do much.  Ignoring it might be the best way.  We can all have solid arguements about each colors for whatever sports, branding issues, but it still comes down to one thing - SHOW OF SUPPORT for FAU by wear FAU gear & showing up at events.

Jab beat me to the post, and just to reiterate what Jab said - the Fau News or Open forum would be could place to continue any discusion on it for those that still want to take part.

Anyone go to the celebration?  How was it?  How many people were there?

There were alot of people there, it was packed, people buying up merchandise, the championship trophies were out front, the voice was signing stuff, and the best was they played "we are the champions" and unfurled the championship banners from the rafters..  That got a huge applause.

It was really great…..and then everyone (unfortunately) went home.

It was a nice time. I estimate 650-800 in attendance maybe a little more( i am no crowd estimator pro).  Pres Brogan, The Sunbelt commish, The Mayor, Student Body President and Howard all took time to speak.  Brogan announced that they put up the signs for the innovation village and stadium!!!  My son who is 12 and his friends had fun and they all said they liked the unfurling of the SB and NO Bowl Banners the best.  Overall it was a great day to be an Owls fan!  The only low point was the "who let the owls out" guy was right behind me… lol  Several people heckled him about it and he said "then give me something better"…  Silence is better in my opinion.
