Friday, September 11th practice notes...

The team had a rare Friday practice as Saturday’s bye draws closer.

Practice began under the threat of a storm with kick return drills. By its end the team moved to 7-on-7 with the back drop of the men’s soccer match versus Howard, the national anthem and a flag raised half staff in honor of those who lost their life September 11, 2001.

The Owls then worked on team drills and scripted plays before dividing into the offensive one’s versus the defensive two’s and the defensive one’s versus the offensive two’s.  Early on, fullback William Rose broke through the defensive line for a big gain. Towards the end it was Tavious Polo who had an interception and later it was Polo who picked up the blocked kick for the return.

The squad will return to practice tommorow, but a time for work on the field has not been released.
