Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

Having Ole Miss here would be great. It looks like we have an opponent to open up our stadium if it's delayed until 2011 (which seems almost certain).

Oxford is 12 hours from San Antonio and 14 hours from Boca.

Hmmmm…. could be driveable

If it does become official and Ole Miss is added to our schedule I'd say chances are we'd cancel SoCar and make plans to go to Mississippi. Obviously it's just a rumor right now so we'll see what happpens

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

not to mention that the easiest way to Oxford is to fly into Memphis…a night of BBQ and Beale St. before heading down to Oxford for the game? Where do I sign???

Of course, the guy who broke the story has like 5 posts to his name, so I'm not booking flights just yet.

"i still find it amazing that, with all the recent politically correct stuff going around with the native american names of teams, that NO ONE has said anything about the Mississippi being the "rebels" lol"

Only a sympathizer from the other side of the War of Northern Aggression would object to such a name… ;D

Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

Ole Miss only has one bye week right now with the ?? on the Oct. 3 game. I would think that if they don't take the last weekend of Aug. off, they would want to use Oct. 3 as a bye week.

That would suck, cause I am going to the SC game, and thought it was great a lot more owls would be there.
