Coach Pelini's Weekly Presser…

Post

As a coworker today talked to me about FAU is right in the middle between a good season and bad season. We've played hard and could very easily be 3-2 right now, but we made some mistakes that cost games. The team could go either way I feel. They could push thru the mistakes and win 5-6 more or they can get depressed and fold wining only 1 or 2 more.

This UAB game is BEYOND huge and WILL set the tone for the rest of the season. I feel Pelini will push them thru this. They are SO close. They could taste it two weeks in a row before it was snatched out of thier mouths. Lose to UAB and its over

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

1. Buy the All-Access Video Subscription at your own risk. IF it works, it is a low-def video feed that is several seconds out of sync with our home radio announcers. I think there are usually two cameras used, one press box and one end zone.

2. If you can't beat us, you're a very bad football team. Our defense is not improved and our offense seems to have regressed from last year. I think you're defense gives you a big advantage.

3. Prepare for about 7,000 people to be scattered around in the 72,000 seat tomb that is Legion Field. If you're coming up, have a safe trip!

Why does UAB get so little TV coverage at home and such poor video feed.

Because camera crews are scared of Birmingham….I went to the last game we played there, dont blame em.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

No winning seasons since 2004 doesn't make for a very good tv product. C-USA All-Access is produced by each school. The schools with larger budgets can afford to spend more on the feed.

Couldn't agree more…

IMHO, we still have a solid chance for five wins. Marshall and Auburn are long shots, though Marshall could be another close game.

With a bounce or two our way against Tulane six is not out of the question. But, in support of your point, we better catch fire - beginning Saturday.

The way I see the remainder of the schedule from a probability standpoint:

UAB - toss up
Marshall - likely loss
Auburn - highly likely loss
Tulane - could win
Southern Miss - should win
New Mexico State - should win
FIU - will win

On a side note:

The UAB line is now down to -3.5.
