This is actually my first time to FIU so I'm wondering the best way to get there.

I used GoogleMaps and basically worked out

I-95 South to Dolphin Expressway
Head west to NW 107th Ave
Make a left (south) on NW 107th Ave
Head south to SW 108th Ave, make a right
then you're in FIU
make a left on SW 17th Street
Stadium will be on the left

Where do we park (east or west side of the stadium) and how much is it to park? Free? $5? More?

I took the FL-Turnpike.  Parking is free

From FAU, the turnpike is easily the best way. Turnpike to where it veers west before Dolphin Stadium then exit at S.W. 8th Street (south of 836), go east a couple of blocks and FIU is on the right.
