Good Year - Better One Coming

The OOC is set for next season. Two of the games though are against Kentucky and USF. That might be a good test. The others though are tough. OK State, Minnesota, and....................UF.

We do have two potentially winnable games in the non-conf next year. I don't know what is set for 2008, but I would like to see a Conference USA team like Tulane, So Miss, East Carolina or UAB and maybe a BIG EAST team like Cincinnati, UConn, or Syracuse. Those would all be winnable games. GO OWLS!!!

All OOC through 2011 is shown on the thread locked up on the top of the board. I don't know who keeps up with it. I assume it is complete as far as what has been already scheduled.

I checked, the schedules aren't full past 2007 so FAU still has a chance to negotiate some contracts with new opponents. I saw Nebraska in 2009. That is going to be a killer. GO OWLS!!!

faualum, i don't believe you would get an argument from anybody on this board about the program on the move and momentum is beginning to build like an old steam engine. The pipeline is filling up fast as was said only four starters will be lost that is a far cry from a couple of years ago. Depth was the problem and it was discussed by several of us Bytor, O.G., Illinoisowl (where the hell are you illi) and others about how it hurt but it was inevitable when you start a program. We had to reload and rebuild and that is rough. FIU is going through the same thing but the fans seemed to have jumped ship (not all of them) Fanatic, mike, Arod and a few others but the poor showing has to affect the players. Think about it you turn around and you have a handful of fans and that has got hurt the spirit of those kids. It seemed that when that kind of talk started last year we all nipped it in the bud and I think it paid dividends. Not once did these kids give up even when they got there butts stomped they took it as a learning experience. Schnelly, also through in as many players as he could to give them valuable playing time. Giving as many players the taste of what will be expected to compete with the bigger D1-A programs and get them ready. Schnelly has made it very clear what he is getting this program ready for and I think it will happen before or close to when the Final Phase is complete. FAU has developed and in some cases redeveloped some pretty neat traditions. The Band (very needed and good to have them back and getting stronger), The Cannon, The prOWLers, The Shula Bowl and I can't think of anymore getting a bit tired but you get the point.

The kids play with heart and never give up and that is what will make them champions
