I'll attest that BocaCoop was cracking his first beer long before the band got there!  ;D

Even though the band was taking a break, I have to give them credit for such healthy snacks, apples all around!, what a great choice!

I don't think anyones trying to knock the band, I think there's just a miss understanding. The reason FIU came over was to give the band apples and Gatorade.  This is a tradition between college bands, the home band brings it to the visiting band. If anyone noticed, UF did the same thing.  The members of the chosen to do this are members of the National Honorary Fraternity for College Bandmembers, known as Kappa Kappa Psi.  The reason it seemed like the whole band is because there are 19 members of Kappa Kappa Psi in the Marching Owls, a large portion.  Ususally we meet up and take pictures during the 3rd in the concourse out of sight of most fans, but that would have taken longer then the few mins it took us to take pictures in the stands.  Now, its easy to say screw FIU cause they're our rivals but in the world of marching band its commonly said that rivalries exist between football teams, not the band. And because we're members of the same fraternity, we try to put our differences aside for the good of the brotherhood.

I did not know that! I apoligize if I came off the wrong way. I respect tradition. But since its FIU can you throw the apples and gatorade at them as soon as they walk away?

lol  I wouldn't throw it at their band members and if I threw it at anyone I wouldn't be around to make that sweet owl music.

I could care less if the band takes a break. Its not like they are playing so much that they need to take a break in the 3rd quarter anyways. Thats what half time is for.

I'm sure the band appreciates your apology, but I just can't believe you wrote this. Where do you think the band is at HALFTIME?
