Wilbert played great is the good news.  WR got seperation and the OL gave Wilbert time throughout most of the game.  He has officially shut me up and I am happy for that…way to go kid.

Bad news, isn't Pelini a defensive coordinator and a defensive minded coach?  Our defense was not good.  Everybody is asking where was M. Jackson the RB?  Same guy who fumbled inside the 10 last week not once but twice?

Special teams….you'd think they could just work on that a little bit.

I am also not a fan of coach wearing a spandex workout shirt on the sidelines.  I am not one for overdressing (I think TeamBeer would wear a tuxedo to coach in  ;D) but c'mon….

Pelini has to find a way for our D to make plays.  We cant look like we are playing Alabama when we are playing bottom 20 teams like MTSU. 

I didn't see anyone calling for the coach to be fired. That would be asinine at this point. There's only so much you can do in two games.

But NiteOwl made some good points. We're not having much success on the ground despite being deep at RB. GW throws a long pass once and we get a TD so we… never do it again? To the fans, it doesn't make much sense, but the coaches seem to think we're making progress.

Being an FAU fan means more lows than highs in this part of our history. It's tough when you care so much about something but all you hear from people - on TV and even among friends - is how much of a joke your team is. So to have to deal with that on a constant basis and then see your team going into the half with zero points on the board, yeah, all that frustration comes out here on TON.

This concerns me too. I heard more then a few times that Special Teams was very important to Coach Pelini and one of the assitants. They practiced it every day. We'll it's just not that good right now. Whether thats a talent issue or a mental issue I dont know.

D had a bad day for sure.

I saw some positives and the O improved over its performance. We can't ask for immediate success you HAVE to give a new coach 3-4 years. As long as the team improves every year via Record and recruiting thats the best you can hope for.

Yr 4 9-11 wins (SBC champions and possibe Top 25)

i would say 4 wins should be the min this year. its the freaking sun belt. mtsu just lost to a double 1AA team. FAU should have been better.

I think this is very realistic and is something most folks on here would agree with. I believe the bigger issue here is that we might have had too much success early on (playoffs, 2 bowl wins, etc.). Every program goes through rough patches and this is definitely one for FAU football. I admire that everyone on this board is hungry and needs wins now, but its emotion talking. What we want and what we're going to get is going to be very different this year. Everyone on here is passionate about our boys (If only more folks on campus and in the community would follow suit) So, if someone comes on here bitching and moaning, we as fellow Owl brethren should take it in stride and let them vent. Good days are ahead…..

I think most of us are just frustrated the way things have been the last few years and are very much ready for the change… unfortunately we all want change now, we want the wins now, but realistically we know its going to take time, but we're sick of saying "wait till next year!"

We are all OWLS and will be here through good times and bad, but by god we are going to bitch when they are bad no matter what!

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't care if we lost every game but beat FIU. It's well worth it. Just being realistic
