Dude… you apparently are a big boston fan and you have no idea what PBR is?
i love Sam Adams… and i have heard of Pabst Blue Ribbon, just never heard of it referred to as PBR, lol
as for Boston… Sam is the only "Boston Beer" that i am aware of… PBR? not really affiliated with boston, as much as i am aware

It all depends on these games:
Aug. 30, at Texas
Sep 13, at Michigan State
Sep 20, at Minnesota
If we win one or maybe two then…big numbers.
Well said… if we come home 0-3 i think attendance will suffer. If we come home 2-1 with a big upset of Texas or MSU it may be a good crowd
I'm really excited for the upcoming season because I'm hoping Pinnick comes back and infuses the D-line with the strength it had, plus I'd like to see Edgecomb and Stinson bring a true running game to the table so we're not just a passing team. You know Texas is going to spend 90+% of its time working on defending against the pass.
Back to the topic…
If we win on Aug.30th and have a home game on Sept.6th, we should draw 10-12k to Lockhart.
If we are 3-0 (or 4-0 if there isn't a bye week on Sept.6th), we should draw ~15k to the UAB game.
I obviously don't know how well UAB travels… perhaps one of the UCF people could tell us.
Regardless, I just don't think you're going to get more than 15k for a Sun Belt game unless it's against Troy.
I do think, if we get into the N.O. Bowl in '08 and we play UCF, it's going to be a huuuge game attendance-wise. I think we'll easily bring double the number of people we brought this year – provided the advertising is good in early December (or before that, if possible).
We have to get to students and say, "Look, yes, go home and see your family after finals. Just come to New Orleans at the end of December." It's especially good because you have these students who go home after Finals and they're happy to be there for about a week but then they start missing all the people at FAU and they're in that weird space where they want to go back but it doesn't make sense to go back until after New Years… so we could say them, hey, you can see your FAU friends at the New Orleans Bowl!

Thinking about the N.O. Bowl in 2008 is a bit premature. We have a long way to go before that happens. I like the positive posts, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.
GO OWLS!!!
I know That's why I said "if we get into the N.O. Bowl…"

Pabst Blue Ribbon is well known in all of New England, I grew up there. As for Boston, it's in every bar that I am aware from Fenway Park to Brookline. Including the Boston Beer Works (my favorite place before a Red Sox game), and the Purple Shamrock which was featured in the movie "Gone, Baby, Gone" (by the way, casey affleck orders a "PBR" in the bar there and there's a bright Pabst Blue Ribbon neon sign glowing in the front window).
As for Sam Adams being the "only boston beer". Harpoon is from Boston as well.
Harpoon Brewery
And thus ends today's lesson….

i said "that i am aware of" lol… my mother's side of the family is from Boston… i was born and raised in Miami… so i am a Floridian, for all intent purposes…
as for sports, my grandfather embedded Boston sports in my head my entire childhood… so that's the story behind my Sox/C's/Pats love
are you a New England fan?
