Tenuta (DC) at ND now is looking for work. Ask, it can't hurt and besides, we need to raise our coaching standards as well, no more HS or D3 coaching hires (just ask NT!). If we go after someone of his stature, maybe we get real lucky or at least draw interest from better qualified D1 college coaches!

Lots of guys are looking for work. Syracuse fired three assistants including their D-line coach and Marshall head coach Mark Snyder was fired after a 6-6 season. He is a defensive guy with 2 years spent at UCF as a grad assistant and LB coach. He would be an upgrade in my opinion.

I can't argue with your logic. It takes time to turn things around. Even with a new DC in place we shouldn't expect significant results for a couple of years.

ND does not have the players for his system let alone a decent D1 team, all recruiting there on O (see C. Weis) which is why he is gone!

He was DC at GaTech and they were great; in your face, fast, aggressive, blitzed a lot! Now imagine that type of D in the Belt, oh yeah, Troy PLAYS THAT WAY!!!!!
