He is trying to state how all of you are wrong, and I agree. This is pathetic.

As for the stadium…if you don't think Howard played huge part in getting the stadium project going and many times keeping the project alive over the years, then I don't know what to tell you. Be mad at this season if you want, but you can't re-write history.

Come on. I thought Howard should coach this year…I still think it was the right thing to do. Did I think we'd be winless at this point? No…nobody thought we'd be THIS terrible, but you know what? It happens. If you want to think you and the OP are smarter then everyone else, fine. Congrats, this team sucks.

Howard was THE reason why we have a stadium. Should he have been allowed to stick around to coach the 1st season in the new stadium? We all have our opinions about that.

Some people act like Howard reached in his back pocket and paid for the stadium. I get the whole picture, I know what the voice did, but in irritated with the effects that are coming down on this team for seasons to come.
What coach is going to want to come in and take over a winless team without a qb? I'm trying to be positive, but realistic at the same time.

Are you serious? It's college football. Players change every season…last year's record is meaningless….did you see the ASU team we just lost to? They sucked last season…same with ULL and WKU. If the new coach doesn't like the QBs on the roster, he can go out and find other ones. What coach is going to want this job? Lots of them…just watch.
And really, stop with the Howard/stadium thing. If you want to blame him for the product on the field, that's fine, but there's no denying how important he was to getting the stadium built. He may not have paid for it, but he did bring in all of the donors…he did have the initial vision for the program…and he is the reason that the project was kept alive on multiple occasions when it looked like it was a dead issue.

You are right. A coach looks at this job like "I could never do any worse than this, only better". We are going to get a great coach here. Who the hell would not want to take a shot coaching here with the deep recruiting base, beautiful campus and stadium, great community.

Yes we have our stadium, yes we know a new staff is coming in next year. And I do agree that a Sunbelt team can have a quick turnaround, especially in talent rich SoFla. But nobody really knows just what the ramifications of this season can have on this program. So while we are all trying to be optimistic - the unknown is scary, because there is no guaranty that this thing can be turned around quickly (even though we know it is possible).

Re: I can not take this anymore
In a BCS conference, the ramifications of 0-12 or 1-11 would be huge. In the Sunbelt, we could be 7-5 next season (hopefully better).d-owl said
We are all frustrated - it's sad that the year of the stadium is turning into a disaster. I'm not going to come in here anymore and say "I told you so"…blah blah blah. But look the writing was on the wall even a few years back with the obvious lack of recruiting talent, bad coaching etc etc. Everybody is upset - people are venting. At the end of the day we all care about our alma mater and this football program. Venting is just part of being a "fan". I'm just in the camp that right now - while I won't sit here and kick HS while he's down - he is going to get a lot of the blame on this from me for what is going on right now.

I am so sick of this program being a fuc**** loser, it is awful. Howard, you are awful you have become the joke of college football. We do not have a d-1 QB who was at the game. The entire coaching staff should start to walk in one direction and never ever look back.
Also Howard has always hated red, well it looks awesome when ASU wears red pants. (just another age old decison by the voice.) One day when i take my kids to FAU games and they see the staue of Howard and ask who is that i will tell then that this is the man who stayed just way to long and almost runied the program.
Really? So beating Arkansas State today, a team we were expected to get waxed by anyway and improving to 1-7 would have drastically altered you're opinion on the legacy of HS at FAU?
